Crafting by Mother Nature and Leela
This is what I walked out to a few mornings ago! A fine bit of crafting by Mother Nature. These pictures were taken on my camera phone and lets just say the tech support people at Verizon rocked and very patiently talked me though how to email the pictures to myself on my computer.
And then for all ya'll that partake in the elixirs of life, here is a cocktail that was crafted by Leela-Belly dancer extraordinaire!
Silky Panties:
-Grey Goose Vodka
-Mango juice
-Fresh Lime zest
with a champagne floater
Garnish with fresh mango

Behind the scenes with Jamie in Scrapbook lounge
Since everyone liked the behind the scenes photo of Jeanie Sumerall-Ajero of the Stellar Starburst webisode.
I thought I would post another. This time of me and Jamie Webb of Printworks Collection rehearsing for his webisode, Friendship Photo Card.
And just because you may be wondering why I am wearing a fur coat-it is freezing cold on set behind the lights and I am a total pansy when it comes to the cold.
But so you don't think I went out and bought a fur coat, it is a hand-me-down from my grandmother. Here she is in all her glory. Incidentally she was way-crafty! The stash of Styrofoam trays she had in her house for crafting purposes rivaled the leaning tower of Pizza!
Stay warm!

TNNA flashback #2
OK, you may be expecting pictures of beautiful yarn and scrumptious knitted sweaters, but no, that's not all TNNA is. Anyone can post those pictures. Here is a photo of me and Jennifer Stafford, Author of Domiknitrix goofing around after a hard day of savoring yarns and chatting with fellow knitters.
The convention center had several events going on at the same time as TNNA. Last year it was a "Mary Kay" convention. So we couldn't resist taking a few shots with their dress up board outfits.
I can't wait to see what craziness I can partake in this weekend at this years TNNA!

Brought to you by the Letter "Y"
Today's posting builds on yesterday's post. The word zyzygy has a nice amount of "Y"s evenly arranged about the word. It made me think of my collection of "Y"s.
So, I thought I'd share my collection of "Y"s.
And if you are into collecting hop on over to
http://craftside.blogspot.com/
to check out another of my collections
Today's posting is sponsored by Sesame Street.

Zyzygy in my life-Words, Love and Razor Blades
Flashback: In high school I made an alphabet book with pictures cut and glued from magazines, I still do this, it's now my profession-who new?
So the word I chose for "Z" was zyzygy-when 3 or more heavenly bodies align.
I love this word and I love when things coincide especially in irony.
So what has aligned you ask? Words, love and razor blades.
Click on image to read about it and where you can get it!
I got this fabulous silver razor blade with a heart cut out in the center necklace (which I LOVE for Christmas. Incidentally designed by a fellow Pratt grad!
Simultaneously I was reading "Sharp Objects" (with a razor blade on the cover) by Gillian Flynn. Stephanie Klose wrote about how she couldn't put it down on her blog- so when someone says that I generally take that as a good book, and I LOVED it!
So my love of the words of the book and (the words she cuts into her body) combined with razor blades and my new jewelry all just aligned!
There you have it.

Another Blast from the Past-Aerosol Can Lid Hat
This is a pin cushion in the form of a little hat made from an aerosol can lid (probably hair spray) and some leftover trim and fabric. My great grandmother made this one. It is on my list of to-do's.
Question I put out there-Since aerosol cans are not part of my household- any suggestions on where to scavenge up these lids?
And something for a Friday laugh-my cousin modeling the hat!

Maze Book -work in progress
I learned to make a maze book recently. If you don't know what that is check out The Scrapbook Lounge Episode: The Maze Book
Now you may be think OK, that's cute but, this is what I learned. If you are on a Mac (and maybe this works on a PC but I don't know) if you go into iPhoto and go to the print window, if you select 16 photos per page, they come out just the right size to fit nicely in a maze book made from a standard 8 1/2 by 11 piece of paper!
